ISTE Chapter



Indian Society for Technical Education:


Indian society for technical education is an organization of technical people from industry or educational institutes all over India. Most of the engineering and management colleges are the members of this organization and the interaction between these colleges is possible through ISTE. This is a Premier National Society for Teachers and Students of the Technical Education System. It organizes Professional Refinement Programmes for faculty members. This organization gives more than 50 National and Regional Awards to Institutions, Teachers and Students for innovation and excellence in various areas of Engineering and Technology.


Activities held in 2011- 2012:


Our college has the institutional membership of this organization which will facilitate to participate or organize all the above mentioned activities under the banner of ISTE. As the initial step our college organized a project competition of final year polytechnic students in association with ISTE on 2nd and 3rd march 2012.


Activities planned in 2012 – 2013:


Following activities are planned for the next academic year


Under Faculty Chapter:


  • Faculty development programs for local and outside faculties.

  • Seminars and lectures by experts from industry and education field.

  • Interaction program with industry.

  • Provide facilities to participate in the programs organized by other ISTE chapters.

Under Student Chapter:


  • Seminars and workshops for students on different technical subjects.

  • Intercollegiate competitions like technical paper presentation and model making.

  • Competitions and quiz for the students.

  • Provide facilities to participate in the programs organized by other ISTE chapters.
